Tango partners with Inmoji to enrich the clickable emojis experience

INMOJI ANNOUNCES EXCLUSIVE PARTNERSHIP WITH LEADING MESSAGING APP TANGO, BRINGING THEIR PROPRIETARY CLICKABLE EMOJI TO MILLIONS.

SAN FRANCISCO & BOSTON – (July 27, 2017) Inmoji, the market leader for connecting brands with consumers on mobile messaging with branded, clickable icons, today announced an exclusive, worldwide deal with mobile-first messaging app Tango. The multi-year deal, beginning July 15, will let Tango’s family of over 400 million users access the full Inmoji experience.

An Inmoji is a custom rich media icon that can now be shared by any Tango user. When a user shares an Inmoji with a friend, they first view, then send an icon packed with interactive content. Their friend can then see the content with just one click.

“Inmoji’s commitment to creating an experience that users enjoy while working with the world’s leading brands is why Tango chose to work with them exclusively,” said Eric Setton, CEO of Tango. “Their solid technology and dynamic, rich content pages further enhance the Tango experience, letting our users share enjoyable, branded Inmoji with friends and family all over the world.”

The partnership fully integrates Inmoji’s SDK into Tango’s chat features, which enables users to access and share contextually relevant content with a click. Inmoji’s brand partnerships extend globally, with campaigns run for brands such as Starbucks, Netflix, Disney, Uniqlo, Red Bull, Interscope Records and Universal Pictures.

“By powering a tier 1 app like Tango, Inmoji now adds a giant platform to begin the end of digital advertising as we know it,” said Africk. “We’re the future. Millennials and Generation Z barely acknowledge brands trying to reach them via traditional means. They want to be interacted with and intrigued, not tricked into clicking an ad – in fact, these aren’t ads, these are engagements. That’s why 100% of users that have received an Inmoji have clicked it.”

“I repeat – brands…stop advertising and start engaging,” said Africk.

Founded in 2014, Inmoji has raised more than $9 million in outside investment, making it the most well-funded company in its space. In early 2017, Inmoji announced its self-serve platform, allowing advertisers to create their own Inmoji campaigns. The Inmoji network is on pace to reach billions of impressions and hundreds of million of clicks in 2017.
